Dr. Sostilio graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in 2019. He completed externship training at Somers Eye Center in New York, the Keller Army Hospital at West Point Academy, and the Newington VA Hospital here in Connecticut. During his time at SUNY, he was very active in the private practice and business management community. He is the past president of the Student Optometric Association for Private Practice (SOAPP) at SUNY and was the Treasurer for the national organization the Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLutioN).
For most of his life, Dr. Sostilio has lived in Connecticut. He was born and raised in Milford, CT where he graduated from Joseph A. Foran High School in 2011. For undergraduate studies, he graduated from UConn in 2015 with his B.S. in Allied Health Sciences with a minor in Biology.
Outside of optometric practice, Dr. Sostilio loves to travel and has been to Italy, France, Monaco, and Thailand. He hopes to continue adding to that list! Besides traveling, he loves to ski, play video games, and spend time with friends. He is a huge New York sports fan: Giants, Yankees, Rangers and Knic
